I’m glad to see the last of this year. It has not been awesome for me, mostly. Hopefully 2009 will be better — for me, and you, and everybody. (If your year was awesome, well — 2009 will be awesomer.)
I’m really sad today, but I’m hopeful that I can be a better human and a more successful person in 2009. And that America will be a better place to be in. And that they release Watchmen this year, sometime.

I agree man! This last year blew! Lost my girlfriend of 3 years, almost lost my job,this last year was the worst. Try to remain positive, try to remain positive…
This year blew big time! 5 deaths… 2 family and 3 friends. Lost 2 friends to overdoses, another to a heart attack – all three were too young. 33, 39, and 44.
Lost my brother-in-law. My sister’s ex, but who was still a good friend and considered a part of the family, still. Freak accident – fell from a ladder and hit his head – went into a coma and died. 42 years old.
Only one that was expected was my Uncle Billy (William Kess 2nd) – 76 years old – lost his battle to cancer.
2008 also saw my father getting rushed to the hospital with an oxygen level of under 30%… he had pnemonia and now has a slight case of emphasima. Only good thing was thank God I was there that night to see him mumbling and not making any sense… and he wasn’t drinking – so i knew something was wrong. I called 911 and my sister and they had to get the cops over because my stubborn dad insisted he was fine and did not need to go to the hospital.
I kind of understand where Josh is. Sometimes being too talented can be a problem because there are so many paths – so many choices – so much. He can design web pages, he can create music, he can write very well, he can probably build a computer from the ground up… among many other things. It’s that “over-talented” syndrome that some have where they don’t know what to settle down with and focus on. Everything seems to go in all directions.
That’s just what I think. I also think one day he’ll find the nitch and he’ll run with it and he’ll make it.
I’m several years older than he is and I still haven’t found mine, but I haven’t lost hope.

Man 2007 and 2008 sucked allot. I spended 2007 and 2008 in California. 2009 is a blast. Right now I live in the upper east coast. 2007 and 2008 could kiss my ass
same man, I fucking hate the year of 2008. It was my depression period. Especially in the last half year. I was about to die from this. But I am feeling better right now in 2009. Honestly, the number 2008 now became my unlucky number. If I am achieving my goal in several years. 2009, 2010,2011…. won’t be my depression period anymore.
